Level: All Levels Instructor: Nicora Gangi * Supplies Not Included (see supply list below) Supplies may be borrowed for additional $20 paid cash to instructor on day of class OR high quality supplies can be purchased from our studio supply shop. Subject: Water In this three hour workshop you will learn to mix and apply strong colors over an underpainting to develop a solid appearance of water. This workshop is designed to give students an opportunity to develop their skills with an experienced instructor. There will be a focus on technique making this workshop appropriate for all skill levels. ---------------------------------------------- * * * * * * SUPPLY LIST * * * * * * ---------------------------------------------- TOOLS: ------------------------- - Liquin (drying agent) - Gamsol Solvent OR Windsor Newton low odor solvent - Palette knife #4 - Pad of Palette paper - 11” x 14” stretched canvas - or canvas board - Paper towels OR old rags - Jars to hold solvent - Vine-Charcoal pencil - Apron OIL PAINT COLORS ( Gamblin brand paints are the healthiest) ------------------------- Alizarin Crimson Red Permanent Red (WIndsor Newton) Lemon Yellow (Chrome Yellow) Cadmium Yellow deep Ultramarine BLue Phthalo Blue Burnt Umber Burnt Sienna White BRUSHES ------------------------- Filbert Brush (#6-8- or1/2 “) & Angle Brush ( #6 or 1/2” ) & fan brush #4,6,8 PALLET ------------------------- Since oil paint does not dry quickly and can be reused I recommend getting a pallet that can be closed such as the stay wet palette or even a pizza box or some sort of flat box that you can put your pallet in and carry it with you from week to week. Cancellation Policy
class bookings need to be done on our website, even if you plan to pay in person. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal online. Payments: In-person credit card sales will no longer be accepted for classes so the teacher can focus on getting the students ready. The only in-person payments will be cash/check, but the online pre-registration will still need to be done, and we ask that you write a message letting us know the planned payment method. Cancellations & Refunds: Any course that doesn’t meet a minimum of 4 prepaid students 48hrs before the start will likely be canceled. We will notify students via email and text. Prepaid registrations may be shifted to another upcoming course or refunded. If you miss one of the scheduled classes, contact your teacher directly to schedule the makeup day. No refunds will be issued for registration cancellations within 4 business days of the first class, or for any course where 1 or more classes were attended.
